This module has helped me think about using standards, CFQs, or formative assessment in the following ways: 1. to create more comprehensive lesson plans and 2. to set goals for myself and the students, which ensures understanding and provides self esteem when you see the finished project.
CFQs help students focus on big questions: open students to thinking beyond memorization, to see the bigger picture for learning, and to prepare them for the 21st Century.
CFQs help me to make the connection students need regarding the importance of what they do in my class to the real world.
